Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to promote the upcoming bout.
Ex two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really happening.
